XCOM Bureau Trailer

After a wobbly gestation, 2K Marin's reworked shootery stab at the XCOM licence - The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - is finally in convincing form.

The above trailer released today sets the scene and shows gameplay, and that gameplay looks reassuringly hard and reassuringly tactical. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified smacks PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 shop-shelves on 23rd August.

Grand Theft Auto 5's first gameplay footage

Rockstar has finally revealed the first proper gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto 5.

The new footage shows glimpses of the game's three main protagonists - Michael, Trevor and Franklin - across missions and free-roaming gameplay.

The video, titled "an introduction to the world of Grand Theft Auto 5", introduces the strip malls and urban decay, the expensive stores and towering mountains of Rockstar's re-imagining of southern California.

Rockstar has clarified that the footage in the video was captured on PS3.

Mirror's Edge

At E3 we saw a new Mirrors Edge game but it's not number 2 more of a reboot of sorts. It tells the origin story of Parkour expert Faith and is set for release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Open-world Mirror's Edge isn't a shooter, but it's "very different" compared to the original, EA says.

Looks very good to me now which system to buy for it ?

Zombies on the Holodeck Trailer

Road To VR have an in-depth look at Zombies on the Holodeck, a noir-styled zombie game for the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra. In addition to an exclusive trailer, they have links to the alpha so that you can try it yourself!

Project Holodeck is system in the works by a team of students at the University of Southern California. The Holodeck itself is a portable multiplayer virtual reality environment with, full body tracking, which makes use of the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra.

The first time we stepped into the Holodeck we saw Wild Skies. The latest game the team is working on is the very cool looking Zombies on the Holodeck, a multiplayer zombie shooter.

The Holodeck team created the game to work with a myriad input devices. It can be played on the full Project Holodeck setup, with just the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra, with the Hydra alone, or even with a mouse and keyboard.
