Electronic Arts has pushed the release of Crysis 2 into 2011, which will now be released during EA's fourth quarter of its 2010 fiscal year beginning on January 1, 2011.

"We moved to the game to a better marketing window in the March quarter," said Jeff Brown, VP of corporate communications in a statement to IGN. "This will also give the Crytek team more time to polish a great title."

Crysis 2, in development for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, was originally scheduled to be released this holiday season during EA's third quarter between October 1 and December 31, 2010.
