Team Fortress 2 goes free-to-play
By: HoriZon

Valve's super popular team-based multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2 has gone free-to-play, the developer has announced, meaning the title is now a microtransaction-supported affair.

This goes for PC and Mac users who can download the entire game as a freebie now, along with the new Über Update, which is the biggest update the titles seen yet (there have been 200+ since the games launch way back in 2007.)

Those new to the game need not fear; the included training and offline practice modes should help avoid insta-slaughter.
