Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim celebrates Christmas as the number one game in the all-format weekly chart.

Modern Warfare 3, the early favourite for the Christmas crown, slips to third, below Just Dance 3, which climbs to second.

It marks the first time in eight years that the Christmas number one spot has not been held by an Activision or Electronic Arts title, according to Chart Track. Elsewhere in the top ten, Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games and Need For Speed: The Run re-enter the chart at eighth and ninth respectively, outing Mario Kart 7 and Uncharted 3 in the process.

At least it's not MW3, Skyrim is a great game and has had me hooked since it came out and I'm not even halfway through it!
